Spelling Skills Workshop

The Spelling Skills Workshop involves four levels to test your basic spelling skills, with each level becoming progressively more difficult.  Each level contains 10 definitions with a selection of four spellings to choose from. To make your selection click the button directly in front of the word you think is correct.  You will be prompted at each incorrect answer and at the end of each level you will be supplied the number of words you got correct.

If you are preparing for a job interview, don't overlook the prospect that you may be required to take a basic skills test that will test your spelling abilities.  It is also vitally important that when completing an application, preparing your resume and cover letter, that there are no misspelled words.  These are areas where the employer may form that very important first impression of you as a potential employee.

Often all that you need before interviewing with a company that will conduct testing is to brush up on your skills in that specific area.  If you do not do as well as you think you should on the Spelling Quiz, you can obtain assistance in upgrading your skills by contacting the local Adult Education and Literacy Program in your area.  They provide free classes in Academic Skills upgrades as well as free GED classes and a number of other programs and services to assist you in becoming more employable.
