As a result of the Economic Stimulus Package signed into law by President Obama,
all claimants eligible for Unemployment Insurance benefits will receive an additional check in the amount of $25 for each week of benefits beginning the week of February 22, 2009. This includes all UI programs; regular Unemployment Insurance, Extended Benefits and TRA. If you currently have taxes withheld from your benefits, they will be withheld from this additional check as well.  You are not required to do anything in order to receive this additional check.  Simply request your benefits as usual.
